Leia Cohen is a Tai Chi and Qigong instructor, movement educator, and founder of Taiflow, an online platform dedicated to making the ancient healing arts of Tai Chi and Qigong accessible to modern practitioners. Originally an athlete and competitive figure skater, she discovered Tai Chi in 2006 while seeking relief from years of accumulated physical tension. Experiencing significant improvements in her own health inspired her to pursue the practice professionally and eventually relocate with her family to Wudang, China, where she undertook intensive training with traditional Tai Chi, Qigong, and Kung Fu masters. Through Taiflow, Leia teaches a blend of traditional Tai Chi forms, Qigong, mindful movement, breathwork, and what she calls Freestyle Flow—an approachable style that emphasizes relaxation, mobility, balance, and stress reduction. Her offerings include free YouTube lessons, structured online memberships, live Zoom classes, seasonal Qigong workshops, and comprehensive training programs suitable for beginners through advanced practitioners. Her calm teaching style and easy-to-follow instruction have attracted students from around the world seeking gentle yet transformative movement practices. Leia’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that consistent, mindful movement can restore both physical vitality and inner peace. She encourages students to cultivate daily habits that improve flexibility, strengthen the body, quiet the mind, and develop a deeper awareness of the flow of Qi. By translating traditional Chinese practices into accessible modern instruction, she has helped thousands of people discover Tai Chi and Qigong as lifelong tools for health, resilience, and wellbeing.
